Controls & Search Modifiers
These are modifiers that lets you achieve closer matches to your search results. The modifiers used on tweetzi are
//: – Find tweets with links that are possibly related to your query.
“” – Find tweets containing the exact phrase of your query.
# – Find tweets with hashtags for your query.
? - Find tweets that are possibly asking questions about your query.
- Find tweets based on your query that are possibly positive.
- Find tweets based on your query that are possibly negative.
Search Operators
There are specific search operators that lets you find results with much greater relevance. These are a few examples as drafted in tweetzi
“steve jobs” – Find tweets containing the exact phrase “steve jobs”.
pc OR mac – Find tweets containing either ‘pc’ or ‘mac’ or both.
css -ie6 - Find tweets containing ‘css’ but not ‘ie6′.
woz since 2009-03-16 – Find tweets containing ‘woz’ and sent since a specific date. (year-month-day)
woz until 2009-03-16 – Find tweets containing ‘woz’ and sent up to a specific date. (year-month-day)
apple filter:links – Find tweets with links that are possibly related to the query ‘apple’.
apple source:twitterfeed – Find tweets containing ‘apple’ and entered via TwitterFeed.
#apple – Find tweets with an ‘apple’ hashtag.
@techcrunch – Find tweets referencing the person ‘techcrunch’.
from:stephenfry – Find tweets sent from the person ‘stephenfry’.
to:stephenfry – Find tweets sent to the person ‘stephenfry’.
macbook lite ? – Find tweets that are possibly asking questions about ‘macbook lite’.
apple – Find tweets based on the query ‘apple’ that are possibly positive.
ie6 – Find tweets based on the query ‘ie6′ that are possibly negative.
Real-time Search Results
With tweetzi you can conduct a search and then set the results to update in real-time without the need for you to refresh the page or repeat the search. This feature is useful for things like breaking news, important keynotes / webcasts, live blogging / tweeting, live sports events and more.
To activate real-time results press the PLAY > button.
To stop real-time results press the PAUSE || button.
