Twitter is considered as the most frequently used social networking tool. This is not just a simple consideration without any base, there is proof in terms of traffic, users and the tweets. Since twitter.com is considered the best it presents itself as a free to use spamming tool as well to spammers.

There is now so many applications and tools built on twitter alone and to better understand the type of users in terms of their position on twitter there came TFF into existence. TFF is the follower to friend ratio. Twitter can give way to you following a lot of people and the same might not happen. So if you are following 1000 people(Friends) and you are being followed by 100 people then your TFF is .10.

To understand the ratio better there is a guideline on this.

Again, TFF is a ratio of followers to friends, which is the total followers divided by the number of friends you have. My TFF is 3.88 as on 14 July 2009 and to understand where I stand or where I should be placed look at the below guideline

    • A ratio of less than 1.0 indicates that you are seeking knowledge (and Twitter Friends), but not getting much Twitter Love in return. Check your pulse, you might be a bot.
    • A ratio of around 1.0 means you are respected among your peers. Many people think that a ratio of around 1.0 is the best - you’re listening and being listened to.
    • A ratio of 2.0 or above shows that you are a popular person and people want to hear what you have to say. You might be a thought leader in your community.
    • A TFF Ratio 10 or higher indicates that you’re either a Rock Star in your field or you are an elitist and you cannot be bothered by Twitter’s mindless chatter. You like to hear yourself talk. Luckily others like to hear you talk, too. You may be an ass

These guidelines are provided by twitterratio.com, a website that helps find the TFF ratio in a jiffy. A step by step guide on finding TFF ratio on twitterratio.com is written on unoblogger.com. This article is titled ‘Twitterratio.com, a step by step guide to check TFF Ratio

There are other ways to get your TFF Ratio and the same has been published in this article titled - Ways to get your TFF Ratio

What is more important is this TFF ratio is not less than 1.0 this means that you are not worth following. Ensure that your twitter ratio is better, per standards.
