Page Rank (PR) is one of the very many key measurements which lets people know how good a website is.

Page rank or PR is a numerical value which represents the popularity of a website. This is status given to websites by Google. So when it is from google it sure would have some importance in positioning your website on the world wide web.

It is a known fact google is a search engine and not any ordinary search engine. Everytime someone searches for a keyword or a phrase, the engine sieves through millions of pages. Once it determines the most relevant and important page it publishes them to us by way of results.

This importance or relevance of a page is measured with the page rank. It is google’s algorithm to determine how good or bad a website is and definitely a factor which publishes your results to searchers. So it is as much important to have a better page ranking among the many things to ensure your website appears on the first page of the search results on google. The page rank is a scale between 1 and 10. The greater the page rank the better a website is perceived to be. Imagine the potential of greater traffic once your website possesses a higher page rank and appears on the first page of a search result. The higher the traffic the better are the chances of making more money. After All most of the bloggers are into blogging for money, so it is essential to ensure that enough importance is given to page rank.
